CONSISTENCY OR BUST IN SOCIAL SELLING

In this weeks podcast episode I got super real about the importance of doing what you say you’re going to do.

Not just in business but in all aspects of your life. Whether it’s your relationships, health, or something else completely.

So I want to share with you my moment of truth….I took a couple weeks…. no months off of my podcast and when two people asked me about it last week I had nothing to say besides… “No, I haven’t been keeping up with it”

To be perfectly honest I was embarrassed that I had not committed to what I said I was going to do and now had to reveal that to someone else.

In that moment I realized something very important and I want you to hear this lesson well.

By me not taking my podcast seriously I was asking everyone else to also NOT take it seriously too.

And the same goes for you as a network marketer.

You see we hear these mantras about being consistent but sometimes it goes in one ear and comes out the other.

Think about it; If you show up once or twice to talk about your business, and then you stop, what does that say about your level of commitment to that business?

Why would your friends, family, audience or followers buy from you or join you if they don’t really believe you’re all in?

Let’s be honest one of the ways that people know you’re all in is exactly through you being consistent.

So after I was called out I decided to put on my big girl panties and stop making excuses. And trust me I had plenty of excuses that went like this…

  • It’s not that big of a deal. I’m showing up in my business in other ways.
  • I’ll get back to it next week and it wont make much of a difference.
  • I’m not that inspired right now so how could I show up anyway.

Do any of these excuses sound familiar?

The truth is that it takes 90 days to build influence on social media. By influence I mean it will take you 90 days to get someone to like you enough to become a follower who may or may not buy from you. Now imagine you start and stop, start and stop – you’re not even giving yourself a fighting chance to grab that follower let alone a buyer.

I know what consistency looks like in business because I went from stuck at the midlevel ranks and barely touching six figures a year to being a top earner in my company and earning multiple six figures a year.

This didn’t happen by accident or by doing my business 50% of the time. It happened by going 100% all in. It took blood, sweat and tears! Kinna like this 75 Hard that I’m doing now. (side bar).

Back when I got started, I went live ever single day on my Facebook page for 9 months before I recruited a single cold market person into my business.

I committed to and trusted the process, but I didn’t see the rewards right away. Yet, 4 years later I’m still reaping the rewards from that one decision and the commitment to follow through on it and be consistent with my lives.

Now live video was THE THING 4 years ago but now there are so many awesome ways to create content.

Stories, reels, and carousel posts are all ways to show diversity in your content and have fun showing up consistently.
